Welcome to the Provi Tattler

So, you've  found your way to my little kingdom of slander, speculation, baseless rumor and lies. In short, yellow journalism at it's finest! Welcome!

Providence is a unique region in EVE Online, as I've come to discover since moving there in late 2012,

As capsuleers, we  now find ourselves, after Aegis Sov (and I refuse to call it FozzieSov), at an interesting point in the evolution of Providence and EVE Online as a whole. I've participated in both systems over the past few years, and have a cautious optimism when it comes to the goals of the Entosis based system we have been given with Aegis. This isn't without reservations about it's implementation and some mechanics changes.

So, let me introduce myself:
I came to Providence, having gotten my start in wormhole space when Apocrypha was released, took a short time and explored lowsec 'piracy', lived as a renter in slumlord space, and evacuated under fire when the renting alliance failcascaded. After crashing back to the carebear wasteland that was pre-incursion Hisec, Provi looked like an opportunity to see and experience sov-holding nullsec as something other than a Pet under the Dominion Sov System. Here I remain.

I arrived in Providence knowing little to nothing about the region and the powers that inhabit it, other than having a vague understanding of the NRDS policy. In the last three years I've been living in Providence, I have been involved either as a pilot, or as an observer on the periphery of the major events that have occurred since that time, talking to, listening to, and flying with the various personalities in many of the "holder" Alliances.

So why the "Providence Tattler?"
Like many other players in EVE, my idle hours have been spent ship-spinning, taking time in reading and listening to everything that is said about the region. This ranges from major EVE news sites like EveNews24, TMC, various subreddits on Reddit, to capsuleer blogs on every topic, not to mention the toe-the-party-line propaganda machines that Provibloc churns out, Providence News, The EVE Scribe, etc.

It occurred to me that much of what is printed, and said in public fails to touch on the concerns and opinions of anyone except the leadership, and the political viewpoints of those involved. There is seemingly very little open criticism or discussion going on that's not shushed by the self-interested leadership of the leading Alliances in Providence.

So, here we are.

Some of what gets posted here will be controversial, slanderous, and viewed by some as treasonous.
I'm completely fine with that, and the hate that will probably come along with anything I say that will be controversial or not in-line with the public policy of the region.

If you wish to reach out to me, please do so, on any topic. I'm happy to listen. I especially encourage Provi pilots and line members to communicate with me, confidentially, or otherwise. For the sake of privacy, and being able to play EVE Online, all communication will be via plain old email. I'm a simple person, and no web guru, so please forgive the simple layout and look of this site. It's more about the words that are posted here, rather than the glitter.

Best wishes to all in EVE,
Provi Drama Queen.
